First: What Engine Are We Talking About?
Most C300s in Australia (especially W205 and W206 models) come with the M274 or M264 2.0L turbo petrol.
Factory output sits around 190kW and 370Nm — plenty for a sedan, but very soft at lower revs.
With the ECU tuned correctly? You’re looking at:
- Up to +50Nm torque
- Sharpened throttle response
- Smoother launch from standstill
- More confident overtaking
And if you’re towing, cruising long distances, or just want your Merc to feel tighter, it’s absolutely worth it.
